What You Will Do:

Ever wonder what happens when you perform a top-up of crystals in Genshin Impact? The Global Payment team at HoYoverse provides a unified cross-border payment solution for all of our games.

From connecting to various payment methods, fighting against fraudulent transactions, providing insights on revenue analysis, to meeting local government regulations & international standards, our systems cover a wide range of core functionalities.

As our systems are critical to players' experience and the company's revenue, we invest heavily in technologies (and the engineers behind these technologies).

Thus, we are looking for highly talented and motivated individuals to join our backend engineering team.

Being one of the core members in our backend engineering team, you will:

Be responsible for the development and maintenance of our global payment systems, delivering a superb crossplatform checkout experience for users worldwide.
Be responsible for the development and maintenance of our internal finance / accounting software, providing a fulllifecycle solution for our funds flow.
Provide technical design and guidance for our services, upholding our high standards on availability, maintainability, robustness and scalability.
Promote good engineering practices as a senior engineer in the team such as chaos engineering, CI/CD pipeline, grayscale deployment, multicluster environment, traffic labelling, unit testing.

What We Are Looking For:

Bachelor's degree (or above) in Computer Science or related programs, with at least 5 years of experience in serverside development.
Proficient in any programming language with at least 5 years of experience, though Golang is preferred.
Familiar with the development and maintenance of businesscritical & largescale microservices, understanding services optimization and monitoring.
Familiar with web service development and related tech stack, including HTTP, security, database, cache, message queue, etc.
Be the owner / goto person of features you are responsible for, able to independently handle all stages of the development lifecycle including requirement discussion, tech design, development, testing and delivering.

Bonus Points:

Experienced in integration with different payment gateways / payment processors / card schemes.
Experienced in building finance / accounting software modules such as reconciliation, revenue projection, tax reporting.
Familiar with common security techniques such as encryption, hashing, KMS services, etc.
Familiar with international compliance / security standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27001, ISO27701, etc
