    Description
    • Assist the business by verifying that Purchase Requisitions conform to Procurement Policy and are accurately coded for costs.
    • Aid the business in Procurement tasks for the stakeholders under the purview of the Finance Department.
    • Assist the accountant in month-end accrual activities.
    • Foster positive relationships with both external and internal stakeholders.

    • The client is an Australian MNC in the pharmaceutical industry with a global presence in over 20 countries. The client distributes and owns well-known leading brands of healthcare products.

    Description


  • Procurement:
    • Support business operations by scrutinizing Purchase Requisitions submitted by requestors to ensure the accuracy and relevance of supporting documents.
    • Assist in raising Purchase Requisitions for stakeholders supported by the Finance Department, including obtaining approvals from stakeholders outside Singapore.
    • Ensure timely Goods Receipt (GR) upon confirmation of receipt/rendering of items/services.
    • Ensure adherence to accounting policies and the business model in all cost recognition transactions.
    • Facilitate vendor onboarding required for Purchase Requisitions in collaboration with stakeholders.
    • Address external and internal Purchase Requisition queries across Asia and international contexts.
    • Undertake additional projects and tasks as needed.

  • Month-End Activities:
    • Generate accruals by reviewing the open Purchase Order list.
      • Prepare the list from open POs and consult stakeholders regarding the purchase status for the respective month.
      • Compile responses and determine accruals to be made.
    • Compile and provision for items advised by stakeholders for which Purchase Requisitions are in progress but costs have already been incurred.

  • Quality Control and Compliance:
    • Ensure that submitted Purchase Requisitions constitute legitimate business expenditures.
    • Verify correct coding of costs in terms of their nature and alignment with the business model.
    • Apply Delegated Authority Limits to all transactions.
    • Promptly report any abnormalities to the Manager.
    • Assist in enhancing financial processes.

    Profile

    • At least 3 years of experience in finance dealing with accruals, cost recognition, and conducting checks on purchase requisitions.
    • Excellent communication skills to communicate and collaborate with internal stakeholders - Department Heads, Country Heads, Sales Teams etc.
    • At least 3 years of experience in fast-paced MNC environment.
    • Experience in procurement is a plus.
