Responsibilities

• Report on daily physical trading activities to produce accurate price assessments by gathering information from diverse market contacts.
• Write daily commentaries that explain market trends and create timely news stories.
• Participate in multimedia coverage, including webinars and presentations, representing S&P Global Energy at industry events.
• Build and manage a database of industry contacts while engaging with market participants.
• Identify opportunities to refine methodologies, research new markets, and launch new price assessments to drive growth in the Chemicals team.
  
  

Required Skills

What We're Looking For:

• A BA degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
• A self-starter mindset complemented by strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient research skills and the ability to perform under tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken English skills.
• Cultural and social sensitivity.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Candidates with 2-3 years of experience in reporting, writing, analytics, or industry roles are preferred, but we welcome applicants with less experience who show promise.
• Familiarity with the chemicals, polymer, or refining sectors, or a strong interest in global commodity markets.
• Understanding of economic principles.
• Strong numeracy skills, including basic statistical principles and proficiency in Excel.
