    Roles & Responsibilities

    Gradiant is seeking a highly motivated, empathetic and detail-oriented Logistics & Procurement Executive to oversee and manage logistics and procurement related matters.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee the day-to-day management of the Project Logistics ensuring objectives are met
    • Monitor, adjust, plan and instigate changes to the logistics plan to eliminate delays and minimize demurrage costs ensuring efficient inbound and outbound deliveries
    • Process all shipping documentation, including L/C and certificate of origin
    • Working closely with logistics/shipping companies or agents for scheduling shipments
    • Handling end to end coordination and documentation for all modes of shipments.
    • Preparing Certificate of Origin, customs/insurance declaration
    • Preparing LC, freight, BL, Invoice, Packing List, and insurance drafts
    • Ensuring timely submission, status tracking of all shipping documents, and preparing necessary reports
    • Work closely with Project and Operations team to schedule, track and monitor all incoming shipments.
    • Handle invoicing, exports permits, any other shipping documentation
    • Liaise with freight forwarder review and negotiate freight rates & sailing schedule(ocean, air & courier)
    • Manage insurance claims, where applicable.
    • Work with the Material controllers to plan storage and outflow of various equipment
    • Communicate the logistics department's weekly reports to the Operations/Projects Manager to ensure alignment with the Project's strategy and objectives
    • Act as a focal point for all external parties and negotiate with logistics partners to achieve cost-effective solutions in terms of transportation, services and inventory to improve on day-to-day logistics operations
    • Monitor and ensure all issues relating to breaches in standards, discipline and procedures are controlled and resolved effectively
    • Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the company's Quality, Health, Safety & Environment (QHSE) policies
    • Perform any other duties as requested by the Operation Manager or Head of Procurement

    SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIRED:

    • 5-7 years' experience in Logistics
    • The right candidate will be able to hit the ground running and immediately start opening doors in line with the operational requirements of the business.
    • Experience with International land, air and ocean transit logistics as well as Customs documentation management
