RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Planning of campuswide spaces to meet University's arising needs.
  • Analyse space utilization and propose space allocation for current and future needs.
  • Conduct space occupancy audits and surveys for analysis and present findings.
  • Utilize data analysis tools and methodologies to drive datainformed decisions.
  • Maintain and update space inventory and floor plans.
  • Update and maintain records in the central database system, including uploading updated Autocad drawings.
  • Extract data from the facilities booking and space management and utilization systems for comparative analysis.
  • Generate regular reports and dashboard presentations to illustrate space usage and trends.
  • Communicate key findings, trends, and recommendations to management for decisionmaking.
  • Identify opportunities for space optimization.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of space reconfiguration projects.
  • Assist in the development of the longterm space management plan for SMU.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including facility managers, administrators, and academic staff, to achieve common goals and to develop and implement space management strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Space Planning and Management, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • 1 to 2 years of working experience in space management or a related field is preferred.
  • Recent graduates with a strong aptitude for data analysis are encouraged to apply.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Tableau).
  • Working knowledge of Autocad.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to present findings effectively.
  • Detailoriented and highly organized.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team.
  • A team player with the capacity to collaborate effectively with colleagues from various departments.
