Role - Cloud Engineer

Location - Singapore

Duration - Long term contract (R Systems Payroll)

Job description

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement the most optimal cloudbased solutions.
  • Planning, designing and configuring cloud services.
  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with company policies and security guidelines.
  • Developing, deploying and debugging IaC code (Cloud formation and Terraform).
  • Interacting with users, providing cloud support, and making recommendations based on user needs.
  • Employing exceptional problemsolving skills, with the ability to see and solve issues before they snowball into problems.
  • Using extensive knowledge of APIs to design and create custom cloud automation and integrations with other systems
  • Modifying and improving existing services.
  • Educating teams on the implementation of new cloud technologies and initiatives.
  • Regularly reviewing existing systems and making recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:


  • Two years' experience in developing software using languages such as Java, Python, C++ or Ruby.
  • One year hands on experience with web services, Cloud Formation and Terraform.
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems and GitOps.
  • Extensive experience with opensource technology, software development and cloud engineering.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace.
  • Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Cloud certifications are a plus.

Job Type:
Contract

Contract length: 12 months


Pay:
$6, $7,000.00 per month

  • Terraform: 2 years (required)
Cloud Formation: 2 years (required)
