Description

Responsibilities:

Attend site tools schedule meetings to update tool progress
Demonstrate full understanding of all WSH safe work practices and procedures
Ensure that the project is running smoothly in accordance with the schedule, rules & regulations and WSH health and safety regulations
Take ownership in liaising & coordinating with different levels of personnel such as Area Leads, package owners, etc.
Study the VMP & ISO drawings for materials planning and requirements
Take ownership of the assigned tool required materials and provide accurate materials planning and order list for approval
Have a basic understanding of the drawings as well as knowing the Standard Utility Detail (SSUD)
Check for LPOC availability/routing obstructions
Identifies resources needed and assign individual responsibilities per area and tool
Able to coordinate with workers and other Contractors on site
Prepare necessary work and safety permits, submission documents and drawings once work are completed.
Draw and prepare ISO drawings for test pack submissions
Manage workers and supervisors with a focus on quality, compliance with engineering drawings; applicable to codes, standards and construction schedule
Overall responsible for all construction activities with respect to performance, procedures and making recommendations to project managers for improvements and corrective actions
Monitor and evaluate performance of all assigned workers and supervisors and coach and council as required to meet performance and productivity expectations
Assess performance and assign additional responsibilities to supervisors, leaders, and workers to develop skills and competency and possible promotional advancement

Requirements:

Minimum Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, or 5 yrs experience with degree qualification in Mechanical or Electrical discipline
Sound knowledge of piping and duct components and fittings, in particular exhaust ducting systems in a microelectronic industry
Ability to coordinate and allocate works provided
Quick to adapt to a highpaced and dynamic work site
Provide guidance and allocate daily works to unit, monitor work progress, and ensure good quality works
Familiarity with isometric drawings of piping and ducting
Provide regular and detailed updates of progress to the Project Manager and Site Manager
Ability to work with multiple parties
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Piping, Mechanical, Electrical/Instrumentation, HVAC construction knowledge and skills
