    Job Description

    As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in bringing to life their vision for a Smart Campus.

    Working closely with the user community, external vendors, and stakeholders, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing various initiatives to enhance our University's infrastructure.

    Leading the IT team in supporting the University Campus Infrastructure (UCI) business unit by implementing IT/OT solutions. This entails collaborating with stakeholders to understand requirements, evaluating vendor proposals, discussing technical solutions, and ensuring selected solutions meet architecture, scalability, security, and compliance standards. Additionally, you will provide technical support during project implementation to ensure timely completion.

    Acting as a Solution Architect for IT/OT solutions on campus, ensuring they are secure, interoperable, and scalable.

    Driving Smart Campus initiatives that merge OT capabilities with IT applications to enhance the overall campus experience for staff and students. This includes exploring opportunities in areas such as door access, facility booking, visitor registration, dining, pathfinding, transport, mobility, and student life.

    Contributing to the Next Generation Door Access initiative, particularly focusing on leveraging mobile technology and facial recognition for authentication.

    The Successful Applicant

    • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
    • At least 15 years within IT industry, inclusive of 7 years in a technical role, and 7+ years' experience in project management.
    • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with Smart Nation / Campus technologies, such as Biometrics, IOT, Building Management, Door Access, CCTV, Video Analytics, Digital Twin.
    • Strong experience in standard IT Application Delivery (covering implementation and operational support).
    • Hands on, willing to work on details and at a low level.
    • Strong ability to drive complex, non-standard projects.
    • Good experience with procurement processes.
    • Good grasp of IT technologies, methodologies, architectures, and best practices.
    • Certification in PMP or CITPM will be an added advantage.
