Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for an experienced, self-driven engineer with a wealth of industry knowledge. To ensure success, the ideal candidate should be comfortable splitting their hours between the office, on-site visits, and attending site meetings, when required.

The candidate should be a critical thinker and have sound knowledge of construction and site requirements, to identify and help to solve issues on site. The successful candidate should be able to effectively communicate ideas, make recommendations, and negotiate project details with their team, subcontractors, and customers when required.

Responsibilities:

Take off measurements from drawings using the necessary software. Calculation of materials and accessories required for completion of the project (residential and commercial)
Drafting technical detailed drawings for projects when required.
Providing estimates of materials for all commercial and residential projects.
Doing site measurements, site inspections for new and touch-up jobs when required, and providing the necessary resolution to site issues.
Assisting Project Manager on site issues, managing schedule and workers etc.
Liaising with vendors and sourcing for materials when required. Issuance of Purchase Orders to vendors and Work Orders to subcontractors.

Requirements:

Min. Degree in civil engineering or related field.
A minimum of 5 years of industry knowledge will be strongly preferred.
Familiarity with design software, such as AutoCAD and also Microsoft Office programs.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with a high level of accuracy in calculations and design.
Excellent time management skills to ensure deadlines are met.
Ability to coordinate more than one project at a time.
