Currently, they are seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Director to join our team. In this pivotal role, the Finance Director will be instrumental in shaping our financial strategy, ensuring robust financial management practices, and driving sustainable growth.

    About the role

    You will be responsible for developing and executing financial strategies aligned with our business objectives. This includes overseeing financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes, optimizing our capital structure, and identifying financing options to support growth initiatives. Monitoring financial performance, identifying risks and trends, and recommending corrective actions to drive profitability will be key aspects of this role. As a trusted business partner to the management team, you will provide financial guidance and strategic support. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will ensure financial alignment with operational objectives, influencing decision-making through data-driven recommendations in resource allocation and performance management. In this role, you will be leading a team of more than 10 finance professionals across the region. You will foster a collaborative and high-performing culture within the finance department. They will provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to ensure the team's continued growth and success. You will bring valuable insights into diverse markets, including specific knowledge of key regions. You will navigate complex global matrix organizational structures and diverse regulatory environments, adapting strategies accordingly to drive success. Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with international accounting standards and local regulations will be a critical aspect of this role. You will own and drive internal controls to ensure adherence to corporate policy and controllership principles, managing audits and external relationships with auditors. You will drive strategic initiatives, evaluating investment opportunities, mergers and acquisitions, and capital allocation. You will provide insights to support business expansion and diversification, contributing to the organization's long-term success.

    Skills and experience required

    The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field, with an advanced degree preferred. They should have a minimum of 15 years of progressively responsible finance roles, including at least 10 years in leadership positions. Certification as a CPA or equivalent is preferred. Proficiency in English and Mandarin (Chinese) is essential for this role as this role would require you to partner closely with stakeholders in China and in the other parts of the APAC region.
