    Job Purpose

    Founded in 2002, Global Schools Foundation is a Singapore-headquartered, education institution whose mission is to cultivate and nurture young minds into global leaders of the future, and is significantly contributing to achieving significant learning outcomes for every child.

    The schools offer various curricula, including IB, Cambridge and CBSE.

    The role holder is responsible is to promote and implement sustainable practices and initiatives that reduce the school s environmental impact.

    As a result, GSF community will become more environmentally conscious.
    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Creating Sustainability framework for GSF schools.
    • Implementing sustainability plans:

    responsible for creating a comprehensive sustainability plan for the school, identifying ways to reduce its environmental impact, and implementing initiatives to achieve those goals.


    • Required to communicate extensively both internally and externally. In order to post on various sustainability projects, work closely with Marketing and Communication department for social media, website, and other communication channels.
    • Implement various certifications and standards such as
      ISO 14001,
      ISO 50001 etc. and as per the
      ISO standards, must conduct regular environmental audits to assess the GSF school s energy and water usage, waste management practices, and overall sustainability.
    • Educate and promote sustainable behaviours among students, teachers, and staff through awareness campaigns, workshops, and events.
    • Implementing sustainability projects at the school level and with students will require coordination with various GSF schools. Will work with all GSF schools, principals, Sustainability Ambassadors, Operations and others across the Group to drive environmental improvement activities.
    • Awards:
    need to identify and apply for various awards related to sustainability at GSF based on students, school and other department projects

    • Collaborating with the local community: need to collaborate with local community organizations and businesses to develop partnerships and programs that promote sustainability and environmental stewardship.
    • Computing carbon footprint campus wise and derive action plan to mitigate carbon foot print to achieve carbon neutrality.
    • Monitoring and reporting:
    need to keep track of sustainability KPI's (key Performance indices) and calculate per capita consumption of all GSF schools

    • Track the progress of sustainability initiatives, annual creation of sustainability report based on GRI guidelines and report regularly to Head GCEE (Global centre of education excellence)
    • Overall, the role is critical to drive positive environmental change. This is done by promoting sustainable practices and behaviours, and ensuring that the school is a leader in environmental sustainability.

    Education:
    Graduate with Environmental specialization preferred


    Experience:
    12-15 years of total experience preferably in field of Sustainability, Environmental System Management.
