    Roles & Responsibilities

    What's the job?

    The Senior Event Sales Manager sell activities and events (seminars, workshops, weddings, social dinners, etc) in line with the annual sales and marketing plan. He/she is the main contact for all clients' inquiries and requests about the space, consulting with clients about every detail of an event to ensure that it runs smoothly, prospecting new sales and managing revenue documentation. He/she also ensure that sales activities, top accounts and bookings are focused to yield maximum catering and event sales revenue.

    Your day-to-day

    Sales Management:

    • Develop and implement effective sales strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets.
    • Achieve results by actively pursuing and securing business using a proactive, consultative sales approach.
    • Identify and cultivate relationships with potential clients.
    • Build and maintain effective business relationships with new/existing clients.
    • Develop promotions or specialty packages to entice new customers.
    • Stay informed about market trends, events, to remain relevant and pursue opportunities for potential new clients.
    • Maintain strong presence in the local community by participating in business / industry organisations, associations and developing a broad external network.

    Event Planning:

    • Prepare and deliver quotes and proposals to clients.
    • Oversee the end-to-end planning and execution of events, including seminars, weddings, corporate meetings/gatherings, social dinners, etc
    • Work closely with clients to understand their event objectives, budget and expectations.
    • Innovate and adapt to meet customer requirements and event needs.
    • Maintain banquet event order (BEO) paperwork for each event booking.
    • Collaborate with our chef on menu requests.
    • Work closely with operations team to ensure seamless execution of committed events.
    • Coordinate logistics for events, including setup, registration, catering, and audio-visual requirements.
    • Work with the marketing team to develop promotional materials.
    • Address any issues that may arise and ensuring a seamless and great experience for clients.

    What we need from you

    • Diploma/ Degree in related discipline
    • 3 years of sales & event planning and management background in the hotel industry. Candidates with stronger experience may be considered for the role of Assistant Director of Events.
    • Strong scheduling and organizational awareness and the ability to market event space to new clients.
    • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong customer development and relationship management skills.
    • Self-motivated and results-focused
    • A positive and keen to learn attitude
    • Must be proficient in written and spoken English and with good communication skills. Mandarin speaking will be an advantage.
