Southeast Asia for Diageo encompasses the following markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines, Vietnam and our Strategic Partnership business unit (which focusses on ownership of our joint ventures, frontier markets, travel retail & luxury divisions) that is headquartered in Singapore.

This role will be contributing to and managing broader 'all of SEA' communications and corporate affairs projects for Corporate Relations, and therefore will require leadership skills to interface with the executive leadership team and the General Manager specifically.

About You
The person will be based in Singapore and responsible for co-ordinating and driving the Southeast Asia corporate relations agenda, predominantly partnering the Leadership Team to ensure engagement with region wide initiatives and programmes.
You will also be the most senior corporate relations business partner for the Strategic Partnerships unit, ensuring this impactful team continues to lead the industry in new initiatives, growth, and the promotion of responsible drinking.
You will be well versed in the FMCG sector and have some experience of working in a regulated industry.More importantly, an in-depth understanding of the geopolitical context of Southeast Asia, an ability to interpret information into relevant insights and furthermore present analysis and opinions that shape growth, protect license-to-operate and promote Diageo's resolute commitment to sustainability, responsible drinking, and social inclusion.
You will need to be a strong self-starter, able to manage a rapidly changing regulatory and trading environment and can pivot positions with confidence and conviction.
You will also be passionate about doing business 'the right way', understand the inherent industry risks and challenges and mitigating these issues.
You will have both gravitas to occasionally represent Diageo with government bodies, ministers, and senior external stakeholders, equally you'll understand this is a business of celebration and you'll thrive in a collaborative, transparent and authentic environment.
Diageo's Corporate Relations functions - comprises of public policy planning and implementation, internal communications and engagement, and external communications and society, which refers to how we support the communities where we work, live, source and sell.
Corporate Relations is a core function for Diageo particularly for this region and role. The function is expected to offer opinion, insights - and occasionally challenges - across the full business spectrum.
Conviction is a core competency of Corporate Relations and you'll need to be able to positively promote, defend and define positions for the function and the entire business.
Corporate Relations at Diageo is mostly market-led, this means the function is generally matrixed with other CR colleagues in other markets, with no direct reporting in the function, as Corporate Relations work is mostly local.
This role will have functional reporting to the Southeast Asia Corporate Relations Director, who sits on the region's leadership team and business reporting to the General Manager of Strategic Partnerships, SEA.
About the Role
This role will have responsibility for delivering all corporate relations initiatives and programmes under the instruction of the Southeast Asia Corporate Relations Director.
