As a Compute & Storage Specialist in Sea Infrastructure, you will be responsible for compute and storage related procurement, supporting the requirement from various business units.

You will serve as the primary interface and act as the process owner responsible for managing suppliers and internal customers.

In this position, you will play a key role in procuring high-quality and cost-efficient infrastructure products/services for the organization.

Assist in planning, developing and implementing comprehensive IT infrastructure strategies tailored to the business needs and prospects, with a focus on compute and storage products, including but not limited to server, storage, and its components (e.g. CPU/GPU SSD, RAM, transceivers, etc) as well as associated software and licenses.
Conduct market research to advise on the infrastructure investment, purchase model, and relevant technologies to improve the performance, efficiency and the total cost of ownership based on the company's business strategy
Adopt industrial standards and best practices; drive and govern related frameworks, SOPs and templates/checklists within the Infra team to optimize the organization's IT operations process.
Work with internal technical teams and external vendors on the ProofofConcept (POC) test and assist on the qualification process and requirement validation.
Lead the qualification, evaluation, selection, negotiation processes on commercial aspects.
Work with other stakeholders on delivery of service and postsales support improvements.
Manage the end to end supplier and partner relationship.
Budget planning and monitoring of the costs for compute and storage products
Other tasks separately assigned in addition to the above

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in communication, IT or other technical field; and other relevant working experience are also considered
Minimum 3 year's working experience in relevant fields
Analytical and critical thinking skills
Good knowledge of compute and storage products, understanding the components, constructs and high level architecture and use cases in Internet companies.
Market landscape knowledge is preferred
Proven working experience in the procurement capacity is an added advantage
Aptitude in working with numbers
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Accurate and precise attention to detail
Proficient in both English and Mandarin due to regional coverage
