Responsibilities
Requirements & Support

  • Identifies, validates and documents customers' order requirements based on the general technical knowledge of the Data Centers
  • May be assigned to manage simple to midlevel customer deployments
Project Planning

  • Supports & develops project implementation plans/task lists for customer deployments through collaboration with crossfunctional teams (such as Sales, Client Services and Data Center Operations), working with information and guidance from more senior team members on project tasks and activities

Customer Order:
Project Implementation and Delivery

  • Supports such as on a piece of a larger project as assigned
  • Schedules implementation meetings with customers and crossfunctional groups
  • Monitors and ensures the timely closure of Operations activities with accurate information into Equinix business systems (i.e. Siebel fulfillment)
Cross Functional, Customer Support & Customer Communications

  • Investigates and collaborates with crossfunctional teams to resolve issues during project implementation
  • Support to liaison with customers to facilitate smooth service delivery and ensure provisioned services meet and exceed customers' expectations
  • Serves as customers' point of contact for any escalation of issues during project implementation
  • Handles the escalations, investigates and provides resolution to the issues with close guidance from senior team members/manager
  • Communicates with customers, own team and crossfunctional groups on project plans and implementation progress for small to medium scale project
Process Support/Optimization

  • Reviews basic business and/or technical processes (e.g. provisioning lead time, effectivity) within the Data Center and identifies opportunities for process improvements
Systems Support

  • Provides basic system support for Data Center Operations systems such as Siebel Fulfillment, working with Regional Operations at the direction of more senior team members
Data Support/Analysis

  • Ensures Operations provisioning data is accurately input into Equinix business systems
  • Collaborates with own team and/or Regional Operations to investigate and perform physical audit tasks
Vendor Support

  • Engages and works with Operations Support to manage and engage third party vendors and suppliers for services and materials

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in a Data Center environment preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in IT / Engineering / related fields preferred
