    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    DP SENIOR ENGINEER


    The DP Senior Engineer shall take a senior role in the performance of design analyses and other specific analysis as Failure Mode and Effect Analysis or other mission critical systems Failure Modes and Effect Analysis.

    The DP Senior Engineer shall be able to prepare specific vessel operational documentation as DP operations manual, checklists or Activity Specific Operating Guidance.

    Moreover he should be able to perform vessel inspections, as annual DP trials or
    FMEA proving trials, and to lead Technical Workshops.


    • KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
    The Senior Engineer shall be responsible for supporting DP and other mission critical systems projects Onshore, Offshore and Tenders as follows:


    • Observe all Company Visions, Values and follow the company Management System requirements.
    • Provide a pro-active approach to
      QHSE issues.
    • Take a senior role in performing technical review of design, and specific analysis.
    • Take a senior role in performing inspections and conducting trials on DP vessels.
    • Take a senior role in supporting ongoing tender activities and supporting the tender team on technical requirements.
    • Take a senior role in supporting ongoing marketing activities and supporting the marketing team on technical requirements.
    • Perform internal QA checking of documents prepared by others.
    • Develop and maintain engineering documentation and project correspondence in accordance with the company document management system.
    • Manage project budget and milestones in accordance with the company project management system.
    • Prepare and perform project presentations during Workshop, HAZID, Design Reviews.
    • Continuous improvement to company's best engineering practice and impart lessons learnt.
    • Be familiar with all relevant Industry Rules, Regulations, Standards and P ractices.
    • Constantly be engaged with other team members to improve the overall team's knowledge and skills.
    • AUTHORITY/DIMENSIONS
    • Access to DP and other mission critical systems project documents.
    • Access to required vessel design documents.
    • Assist in training and continual improvement of less experienced Engineers.

    • CAPABILITY PROFILE – KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND BEHAVIOURS
    General


    • Degree level in relevant engineering discipline.
    • Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
    • General knowledge of project management and administration.
    • Acquainted in Legislation and Standards for the area of responsibility.
    • Technical expert within his/her group.
    • Familiar with technical software within his/her field.
    • Familiar with Safety and Quality policy.
    • Dynamic, independent and pro-active.
    Specific


    • Knowledge relating to the Onshore, Offshore activities, and vessel inspection.
    • WORKING CONDITIONS

    Physical environment:

    Majority of the work is carried out in the local office, however regular offshore, site and "out of office" work is expected.
