About the Internship
The Milken Institute Asia Center is looking for a Communications Intern to assist with its ongoing communications efforts, including media relations and social media.
The intern would chiefly be involved with the organization of the flagship Milken Institute Asia Summit, which is scheduled to take place in Singapore at the end of September 2024.

The Milken Institute Singapore Internship Program, in partnership with Partners Group, aims to cultivate the next generation of leaders who are equipped to tackle the issues that shape the global agenda as they enter the financial, investment, corporate, multilateral, or philanthropic sectors.
We create a customized experience for each intern, which is tailored to their interest area and career trajectory as well as emphasizes their professional and personal development.
This experience includes opportunities to:
- Interact with highlevel business leaders, ambassadors, business leaders, and academic experts as part of our "Global Leaders Speaker Series"
- Meet and work with the Milken Institute's global network of senior executives
- Learn from senior leaders at the Milken Institute and Partners Group
- Gain insights into the workings of global financial markets through dedicated workshops
- Network with an international and diverse group of peers and professionals
Key Responsibilities
- Media monitoring, press release dissemination, updating of media lists, and following up with reporters for event & conference invites (virtual & inperson)
- Conducting desktop research on relevant topics to support the larger communication function
- Drafting content such as key takeaways, summaries, and minutes for conferences, meetings, and webinars
- Social media listening, reporting, monitoring, community management, and drafting of posts for social media channels
- Providing backend logístical support for online virtual events & offline inperson events
- Translation and copywriting (English & Chinese) of communications materials
Qualifications
- Strong writing and communication skills (English & Chinese)
- Detailoriented
- Interest and curiosity in the issues shaping the global agenda such as capital market reform, technology and innovation, geopolitics, economics, etc.
- Singaporean national is preferred
