About the Roles
We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer / Project Engineer (Building and Infrastructure) to join an established M&E consultancy firm based in Paya Lebar (East). This is a permanent, full-time position with regular working hours from Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM. The role offers a salary of up to SGD 5,500 with variable bonus, providing a solid platform for engineers to develop their design and project capabilities within a professional consultancy setting.
What You'll Be Doing
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- Execute engineering tasks in accordance with company procedures and prescribed systems of work.
- Apply design philosophy and engineering fundamentals to develop and communicate solutions to project stakeholders.
- Perform engineering calculations using tools such as Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Full Hydraulic Calculation (FHC).
- Review and work closely with Architect and Structural/Service Engineers' drawings and specifications.
- Conduct investigative studies and carry out technical review works.
- Prepare and develop drawings, calculations, specifications, and technical reports for projects.
- Act as a role model and provide guidance to students on placement and junior engineers.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- At least one year of experience in an M&E consultancy firm, with exposure to the design of ACMV, fire, and hydraulic services.
- Experience in project execution from a contractor perspective will be considered.
- Exposure to Energy Storage System (ESS) or capabilities in carbon, sustainability, resources conservation, and renewables will be an added advantage.
- Ability to carry out assigned tasks responsibly, professionally, and with a positive working attitude.
