We are recruiting Clinical Psychologists (psychologist/*senior psychologist) to join our General Paediatrics Psychology, as well as Adolescent and Eating Disorders teams.
General Paediatrics Service:
- To provide psychological interventions and psychometric assessment for our general paediatric psychology service. This includes providing support to children and teenagers, and their parents, who present with a range of difficulties from medically related learning problems, emotional/behavioural to mental health difficulties.
Adolescent & Eating Disorders Work - To provide care to adolescents with a broad range of mental health disorders such as eating disorders, and other common psychiatric conditions.
Adolescent Work - To provide care to adolescents with common psychiatric conditions.
Successful applicants will join a vibrant psychology team in providing psychological interventions and psychometric assessment for our general paediatric and adolescent services.
There may be opportunities to be part of multidisciplinary teams, work with the adult population, run group programs and also participate in education and research activities as and when they become available.
- Master or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university programme.
- Possess an existing registration / membership, or be eligible for membership / registration, with professional psychological bodies, such as the Singapore Psychological Society, Australian Psychological Society
- Good understanding of child and adolescent development.
- Ability to work with children and adolescents, and their families is desirable.
- Sound knowledge of psychometric assessments and competency in administering and interpreting a wide range of psychological assessments and selfreport questionnaires
- Welldeveloped skills in delivering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and other interventions.
- Sound case formulation skills.
- Understanding of evidencebased treatments in eating disorders. Prior training in Family-Based Treatment (FBT) is desirable, though not essential.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports with recommendations that are tailored to the adolescent and family.
- Welldeveloped written and verbal communication skills, with good organization skills and time management.
- Ability to maintain and ensure timely and high quality clinical documentation.
- Demonstrate a commitment to clinical excellence and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- To be able to provide sound and ethical professional advice and consultation to other professionals, care givers and community agencies where necessary.
- A disposition that is resilient, with the ability to work both independently and as a team player in a fastpaced setting.
- Ability to speak a second local language and/or dialect is desirable, though not essential, in order to liaise with the local language and/or dialect speaking associates/patients.
- Those with more years of experience will be considered for a Senior position (i.e. possess relevant and a high level of knowledge, training, skills and experience in this area).
