    Description

    Changi Airport operates on a 24/7 basis, serving our passengers and airline partners. Resource planning and operations are key considerations to delivering high-performing airfield systems. One of the airfield systems which is highly critical to airport operations is aircraft pavement maintenance and airfield turf management. Upkeeping the performance and serviceability of aircraft pavements and optimizing the management of airfield turf in Changi Airport is our priority to ensure that aircraft operations are not disrupted with minimal wildlife hazards.

    As part of Changi Airport Group's Engineering team, you will be leading a team to carry out asset end-of-life replacement such as pavement resurfacing and rehabilitation. You will also be involved in managing asset-improvement projects such as enhancement works to pavements and other civil infrastructure such as roads, turfing and structures in the airfield. The scope of managing projects will include planning, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, user requirements consultation, before tendering and project execution. You shall be responsible for the safe, timely and quality completion of the works in an operational environment with minimal disruption to operations, and to constantly engage our stakeholders prior and during the works implementation.

    Job description:

  • Engage stakeholders and users to obtain requirements
  • Work out procurement strategies in packaging contract scope
  • Manage multiple ongoing contracts, review its effectiveness and introduce measures (where necessary) to resolve issues and to improve productivities.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets for the project works.
  • Oversee project execution, ensuring that work is carried out in accordance with specifications and quality standards, and kept within planned budget and timeframe
  • Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely project completion.
  • Monitor project progress, identify issues, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering with minimum of 5 years' experience
  • Preferably with working experience in project management of civil engineering works in a 24/7 operational environment
  • Interest in managing projects and running an operational team in a highly demanding environment
  • Customer-driven and enjoys field work
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to multi-task in a fast paced environment
