Responsibilities:

Check and follow up on all guest dry cleaning and laundry.
Responsible for fulfilling all emergency guest laundry and pressing needs on the overnight shift.
Perform minor tailoring needs of staffs i.e. repair a tear, hem or popped button.
Maintain bar coding on all colleague's uniforms in an efficient manner.
Scan all uniforms as they come into the department.
Send out all scanned uniforms and print out daily uniform lists.
Check daily on uniform discrepancies.
Maintain cleanliness and order in the uniform room.
Ensure correct usage of washer/dryer machine, presser and ironing 'suzie'.
Keep Laundry Manager informed of any laundry/uniform issues.
Liaise with uniform cleaning company to keep track of any employee complaints.
Collect all linen and terry from each of the guest service landings.
Sort all soiled laundry prior to washing. Separate all torn linen, terry items and bathrobes by size and log the count in the daily log sheet.
Separate all torn linen and terry to be used as rags.
Maintain a count of all spa, banquet and restaurant linen dropped into the Housekeeping linen room.
Maintain a clean, tidy and well organised work space.
