    Analyst supporting the Asia South Cluster by providing:
    Analysis and review of financial performance, especially drivers, trends, and the competitive environment, to enhance understanding to support Cluster Management Team

    Insightful analysis as the foundation for strategic decision-making, resource allocation and performance management

    Tools, analytical capability, and data to support thoughtful planning and target setting, as well as to drive business initiatives.

    Good understanding of the Financial Industry and its drivers under changing macro-economic conditions

    This means by which the businesses both implement and measure the impact of those decisions and targets, and identify and implement course corrections

    Job Background/Context:


    Cluster CFO EDS / Legal Entity Analysis Team covers all aspects of the Cluster Franchise including: Client Financials, Expenses, Legal Entity Planning Reviews, ICAAP, Risk and Control, and Ad HocAnalysis.

    The Asia South Cluster team is part of Banking and International Finance team responsible for all Finance activities that are specific to Asia South Cluster

    The key stakeholders are Cluster/Country Finance, CCOs and Product/Function Management teams as well as the Management Team of Legal Entities in Asia South

    This is an exciting and challenging role requiring the establishment of effcient operating practice and networks

    Key Responsibilities:
    Based upon the Job Purpose described above, the key responsibilities are:Provide a support to the Cluster Management teams in Asia South – CFO, CCO and Business Heads, delivering Finance activities for the countries within the Asia South Cluster including: P&L and B/S analysis, headcount analysis, returns, client analysis as well as initiatives

    Support the Asia South Cluster Head in trend analysis for the countries under their coordination.

    Self-starting ad hoc reviews on: expense trends and opportunities, revenues impact in relation to change in regulatory requirements, benchmarking performance with the industry

    Performance Measurement and Reporting:
    Pro-actively analysing, investigating, escalating and explaining key movements and trends to Senior Management and playing an active role in monthly business reviews co-ordinating and preparing materials for internal or external meetings

    Productivity:
    Work in partnership across Finance and with the Business to understand and improve efficiency and returns particularly Operating Efficiency, RoA and RoTCE; understand scorecard metrics and drive discussion with CFO/ CCO's on execution

    Lead and drive strategic plans, forecasts and outlooks, including at Legal Entity level

    Work with local LEM teams to ensure legal vehicle plan aligns to business plans including the support required to meet legal entity requirements

    A deeper understanding of a broad range of products and businesses

    Opportunities to interact with product and Cluster/Country senior management as well as businesses across countries in Asia South and in other areas of Finance


    A deeper understanding of the importance of the Legal vehicles in Asia South to the overall Franchise and an ability to report, plan and perform value added analysis at the legal vehicle level.

    Provides interaction opportunities with senior leadership

    Qualifications:
    Qualified finance experience preferred, but an exceptional working track record will be deemed equally important

    Exceptional candidates who do not meet this criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills, experience

    Experience/Knowledge:
