    [What the role is]

    MANAGER / DEPUTY / ASSISTANT MANAGER, SECTORAL MANPOWER DEVELOPMENT

    [What you will be working on]


    You will be part of LTA's manpower development team responsible for the development and implementation of manpower strategies to meet the land transport industry's long term manpower requirements.

    The key responsibilities of your role will include the following:

    • Monitor and track Land Transport manpower constraints, gaps and needs;
    • Formulate and execute manpower strategies to meet the industry's longterm manpower requirements, including emerging requirements (e.g. agingpopulation);
    • POC to work with relevant Agencies to frame Land Transport's contributionin support of WOG agenda (e.g Jobs & Skills 2030, ITM, etc) as required;
    • Work with industry players, institutes of higher learning, governmentagencies, unions and associations to develop and roll out manpowerinitiatives, at both pre-employment and continuing education stages, toensure manpower pipeline and build up competency of industry workforce;
    • Manage manpower taskforces and meetings;
    • Provide management updates and report on a regular basis;
    • Any other work-related duties as assigned.
    [What we are looking for]


    • Tertiary qualification in Economics/Political Science/Business Studies/Public Policy, or any equivalent with at least 3 years of relevant working experience;
    • Relevant work experience in policy, manpower planning and development is a plus;
    • Able to see strategic big picture while tying down the tactical project details;
    • Able to work independently with minimum supervision;
    • Organised, meticulous and able to multi-task;
    • Good team player who is able to thrive in a fast-paced environment;
    • Possess good written and verbal communication, interpersonal and analytical skills;
    • Microsoft Office skills.
