    Operations Planner

    About the company:
    My client is a specialized provider in the field of chemicals, offering groundbreaking products and services that cover a wide array of sustainable solutions. These encompass various sectors, including nutrition, health, safety, and the preservation of resources.

    Job Objective:

    Efficiently plan and schedule chemical food blend production with the local contract manufacturer, overseeing purchase orders and logistics coordination.
    Core competency in Supply Chain planning is essential, with advantageous experience in shipping, documentation, and customs clearance. Balancing customer needs from the Sales team forecast with local contract manufacturing and quality assurance constraints is a key aspect of the role.

    Key Responsibilities:
    Supply Chain Planning (40-50%):

    • Generate production plans based on forecasts from the commercial team.
    • Plan and procure raw materials, manage stock relocation
    • Create batch numbers and PDF labels, book goods received in SAP.
    • Handle inventory management and capacity planning.

    Logistics (30-40%):

    • Coordinate shipments with suppliers and customers through local logistic and custom clearance agents.
    • Manage shipment and order bookings.
    • Generate and distribute shipping documents to relevant parties.
    • Conduct weekly/monthly reviews with BDE Logistics.

    Purchasing (15-20%):

    • Place orders for raw materials and tolling, with negotiation and new supplier qualification
    • Conduct daily operational discussions with suppliers, focusing on production scheduling and adherence to delivery and lead times.
    • Create purchasing orders in SAP, handle claims for any out-of-stock situations.

    Reporting/Input:

    • Provide weekly local management reports and monthly reports for Purchasing and Logistics.
    • Collaborate with the regional sales team to prioritize orders when necessary.

    Requirements:

    • Min 5 years of supply chain planning experience from the food ingredient industry or manufacturing environment.
    • Min Diploma holder
    • Experience in SAP and CRM (Salesforce).
    • Microsoft Excel planning expertise
    • Familiarity with project management (considered a plus)
    • Familiar with purchasing of raw materials
