    Roles & Responsibilities

    Under limited supervision, and in accordance with Company policies, procedures and guidelines, your job responsibilities include but not limited to the following

    • Perform patient registration, specimen reception, preparation and packing of specimen
    • Performs routine laboratory test procedures as outlined in the established SOPs and according to MOH regulations, ISO and CAP accreditation. Adheres to quality assurance and quality control procedures in performing all testing.
    • Perform laboratory analysis (e.g., Urine microscopy, full blood count, HbA1c, ABO Blood grouping, Coagulation, etc.), operate and maintain instruments according to work instruction in Haematology.
    • Perform phlebotomy (optional) procedures if required
    • Assist Supervisor in day-to-day operation of the department
    • Assist Supervisor to ensure manpower resources are managed well to handle the daily workload for the department
    • Responsible to verify and report accurate results in timely fashion; investigates and reports any anomalies.
    • Responsible to perform daily quality control check and troubleshoot as required.
    • Ensure proper documentations and records for traceability (e.g. acknowledgement on QC and maintenance checklist after completion).
    • Assist to resolve client or doctor's queries and escalate to supervisors(HODs) and Lab Manager when necessary in a timely manner
    • Adhere to work safety guidelines and infection control protocols to ensure staff and patient safety.
    • Monitors lab supplies in assigned area or department
    • Verifies daily departmental pending work logs
    • Trains or instructs laboratory personnel in performance of lab tests and procedures where assigned

    Assist Supervisor or Lab Manager in tasks as assigned.

    Job Requirements

    Education/Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Biological Sciences/Biomedical Sciences/Medical Technology.
    • Preferably with 3 - 5 relevant experience.
    • Good working attitude and ability to work under pressure
    • Able to take up challenges
    • Strong verbal and written communication and organizational skills
    • Responsible, meticulous, hardworking
    • Team player with positive working and learning attitude, excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Work Schedule

    Monday to Friday: 9.30 am to 6.00 pm

    Saturday: 9.30 am to 2.00 pm

    Above schedule subject to change accordingly to operation requirements.
