Description
Our client is a global pharmaceutical leader dedicated to advancing healthcare innovation. They seek a highly experienced Data Scientist based in Singapore.


Key Responsibilities:


Conduct in-depth analyses of large-scale data to uncover valuable insights shaping future product and brand strategies within a specific therapeutic area.

Plan, execute, and assess experiments to identify pathways for increased adoption, enhanced business performance, and improved patient experiences.
Research emerging technologies and methods in data science and data engineering to enhance the technical capabilities of the team.
Perform hypothesis-driven exploratory analyses, select suitable machine learning algorithms, and construct complex optimization engines to deliver impactful data solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify growth opportunities, define data requirements, establish crucial metrics, and advocate for data-driven products.
Present insights to senior management by effectively translating complex analyses into concise, business-focused takeaways.


Experience and Qualifications:

Degree preferably in engineering, economics, statistics, computer science, or a related quantitative field.

Proficiency in relational databases including Structured Query Language (SQL), and familiarity with large-scale distributed systems such as Hadoop or Snowflake/Databricks.

Practical experience and theoretical understanding of Machine Learning (ML) algorithms for classification, regression, clustering, and anomaly detection.

Familiarity with various statistical methodologies including Bayesian and non-parametric techniques, hypothesis testing, ANOVA, Regression, and fixed and random effects, to assess experiment impact.

Hands-on experience in big data environments like Hadoop and Spark, using languages like Python and SQL in a supply chain or manufacturing context.

Ability to extract meaningful business insights from data and identify underlying patterns.
Proficiency in using data visualization tools/packages such as Dash, Tableau, and Angular.
Strong communication skills for effectively presenting complex quantitative analyses to senior business executives.
