- Support the evolution of the Asia Pacific change portfolio by working with the Head of Technology Delivery to shape and prioritise a unified backlog that brings together regional needs and global strategic initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering team to break down epics and features, write clear acceptance criteria, and maintain a focused backlog that supports transparency and pace in progress, quality, and business impact
- Identify opportunities where AI can be leveraged to solve high value business problems, deliver measurable commercial impact, aligned with the Group's priorities and capabilities.
- Enable responsible and informed AI adoption. Equip teams with practical guidance and partner with Business AI Champions to embed available AI tools into workflows in a way that enhances productivity and decision making. Where appropriate, use Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to assess viability before scaling what works.
- Act as a link between regional and global teams by staying informed about relevant key global initiatives, translating regional nuances into actionable adoption plans, and ensuring APAC contributes to and benefits from Group Technology initiatives.
- Promote strong technical foundations by supporting and improving the standards and practices that ensure architectural alignment, strategic consistency, and aligned delivery, so that every software delivery strengthens the business platform rather than fragments it.
- Experience leading analysis or product‑discovery, shaping problem statements, translating business problems into technology solutions, and contributing to measurable outcomes (e.g. operational efficiency, revenue enablement, risk reduction, cost avoidance).
- Experience partnering with business stakeholders (e.g. Operations, Investors, Sales) to quantify value, constructively examine and validate assumptions, and guide prioritisation based on clear commercial rationale, ensuring solutions solve the right problems.
- Practical experience with agile delivery, able to drive pace, quality and flow, structure epics/features, manage agile delivery backlogs, and align multi‑stakeholder priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align with global/central teams, ensuring regional execution fits into a broader strategy while preventing/mitigating duplication of enterprise capabilities.
- Technical fluency and ability to engage with engineers on topics such as APIs, data flows, integrations, cloud concepts, reusability patterns, and technical‑debt management.
- Clear and effective communication skills, with the ability to work confidently with business and technical stakeholders at all levels
- An understanding of the investment management industry
- Strong understanding of evolving AI technologies, regulatory considerations, and the practical applicability of AI in financial services; ability to judge feasibility, risk, and business value in a regulated environment.

We're looking for a leader who can work with business and technical groups to clarify complex problems, identify opportunities, and support initiatives that deliver meaningful outcomes for the region. You should be comfortable making well‑reasoned decisions, balancing regional needs and global strategy, using data to support recommendations, and collaborating effectively with senior stakeholders. Strong communication skills and a working understanding of technology concepts will help you work closely with our engineering teams.
You'll work with technologists globally with a variety of skill sets, focused on accelerating the positive impact of technology at Schroders.
The team
Asia Technology Delivery focuses on delivering outcomes that depend on close collaboration, deep expertise in core investment capabilities as well as digital experiences.
Our mission is to accelerate Schroder's profitable growth strategy across the region at scale by harnessing technology. We are gearing up to deliver an exciting and varied portfolio of initiatives, including enhanced front-office investor workflows, the launch of new investment products, and the facilitation of merger and acquisition (M&A) technical deliverables.
We aim to maintain a great engineering culture. Contributing to this culture will involve following good software engineering practices, disciplined system design, implementing effective testing practices, writing clean code, and embracing AI in engineering.
While this is not a hands‑on engineering role, you will collaborate closely with our engineering team and contribute to an environment where clarity of analysis, strong design principles and business value shape how we deliver.
You'll work with a team of enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about software in a financial context and evolving our investment and business platforms. They're also keen on driving positive technology change at Schroders, ensuring that we always stay ahead of the curve.
