- Provide direct instruction to children with special needs, utilizing evidence-based practices.
- Assess and evaluate children's progress and behaviours to monitor their development.
- Collaborate with parents and other professionals to develop and implement comprehensive intervention plans that address each child's unique challenges.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in special education and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) intervention strategies.
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field, such as Early Childhood Education or Special Needs Psychology.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience teaching children with special needs, including those with ASD.
- Strong understanding of special education principles and practices, including TEACCH, Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and other evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while also being a team player and collaborating effectively with colleagues.
