    Roles & Responsibilities

    THE ROLE

    This post requires an applicant with excellent communication skills to provide consultancy services related to occupational hygiene (OH) and environmental management. The successful applicant will have exciting opportunities to be involved in high-level consulting projects, within an organisation that has a reputation for excellence in occupational hygiene and health. The dynamic environment will allow the applicant to develop technical, administrative, sales and marketing skills.

    MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

    Reporting to the Head of Occupational Hygiene, the post holder will carry out these duties:

    1. Provide consultancy services related to OH clients/customers including these responsibilities:

    • Perform duties as Occupational Hygienist/Consultant to clients
    • Assist clients to develop and implement OH programs and management systems
    • Assist clients in risk consulting and assessments

    2. Work on projects including these responsibilities:

    • Involvement in work planning, scheduling and liaising with with clients
    • Prepare report for submission to client or other agencies
    • Overseeing tasks for assigned project
    • Maintain and regularly check devices to keep them in proper working conditions

    3. To represent IEH internally and externally, as required.

    4. Support administrative and operation functions in the office, which will include adhering to existing documentation procedures and system implementationions.

    5. Assist in business support to sales and marketing activities, preparation of proposals/quotations, etc.

    6. To undertake other duties as allocated by management appropriate to the role or any other reasonable duty within the framework of the post.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree in the relevant fields such as Workplace Health and Safety, Toxicology and Environmental Health, Science or Environmental Science.
    • Preferably to have completed WSQ certifications in Noise and Vibration Monitoring and Measure Exposure and Assess the Risk due to Hazardous Substances.

    OTHER REQUIREMENTS

    • Open to travel overseas for work purposes (conduct sitework).

    WORKING HOURS

    • Monday to Friday
    • 40 hours work week (9am to 6pm)
