Fixed Income Portfolio Manager (Singapore)


What is the opportunity?


As the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager, you will be responsible for developing competitive portfolio solutions offering, with focus in Fixed Income and direct the development of supporting processes, tools and materials.


What will you do?

  • Assist Portfolio Specialist in marketing the discretionary solutions to Relationship Managers (RMs) as a solution for private banking clients and support the proposal process
  • Work closely with RMs and all functions of Investment Solutions & Products group to tailor portfolios to client risk profiles and investment objectives products to meet client objectives
  • Responsible for the Fixed Income investment modules, selection process and to the strategy defined by the investment committee
  • Monitor daily trade activities to ensure that they are in strict adherence to regulatory and company's policies and procedures
  • Improve portfolio management operational scalability, efficiency and sustainability
  • Contribute to product and platform development and enhancement to meet clients demand within bank's risk
  • Assist in reviewing and improving policies and manuals related to the portfolio management
  • Responsible for Portfolio Analytics:
- analyse performance contribution and attribution against benchmark
- customize portfolio according to UWM client's intention
- risk - reward analysis

  • Communicate in verbal and written form the market outlook, portfolio positioning and performance of different strategies and portfolios (esp. UWM) to clients and RMs
  • Active communication with RM on UWM matters, including Investment Guidelines strategy changes and recommendations
  • Maintenance of investment modules in Barra/Bloomberg

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Degree educated in Finance, Economics or other relevant professional qualifications is required
  • The role would typically require a minimum of 10 years of experience in financial services or fund/asset management, with not less than 3 years of experience in the wealth management industry ideally with a focus in areas of discretionary portfolio management
  • Strong working knowledge of equities, bonds, FX and alternative investments
  • Familiar with Barra / Bloomberg
  • Wellround portfolio analysis skills
  • Effective writing skills
  • Able to work under pressure, staying informed on investment markets and products
  • Strong planning and organization skills with excellent communication abilities

  • Adaptability and flexibility in dealing with rapidly changing initiatives
  • Technologicallysavvy coupled with the ability to multitask
