    Roles & Responsibilities

    As the primary contact for patients, the Registered Staff Nurse manages the treatment and recovery of patients by administering preventive, curative and rehabilitative care.

    • Provide nursing services requiring substantial and specialised nursing skills.
    • Work closely with the Resident Doctor and multi-disciplinary team to provide care to the residents
    • Update changes in the residents' condition and needs
    • Evaluate residents response to care interventions and recommend revision of care as necessary
    • Work with allied health professionals and / or initiate preventive and rehabilitative nursing procedures
    • Carry out and supervise assessment of all new admissions
    • Prepare clinical documentation and ensure all documents are up-to-date
    • Administer medication to the residents and comply with safe medication practices
    • Work with Supervisor to conduct quality assurance activities to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care
    • Work with staff to maintain a safe and clean environment in the nursing home
    • Familiar with the use of Nursing Home IT Enablement Program (NHELP) process
    • Any other ad-hoc duty assigned by your supervisor / Head of Department

    Nursing Diploma and Degree graduates who are registered with the Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) may work as a Staff Nurse.
