    About the Role

    The IT Support Engineer (SPH Radio) will be the coordinator for the SPH Radio Department to provide technical support on IT and radio broadcast equipment, software, licences and maintenance contracts.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    • Installing and configuring end user computer systems, servers, radio specific software and applications
    • Responding to end user IT support requests
    • Work with vendor support and end users to diagnose software, networking, or hardware issues
    • Providing technical support on-site or via remote-access systems, including for outdoor broadcast events and radio broadcast equipment when required
    • Maintaining inventory on tech and radio equipment
    • Offering solutions that meet the needs of the client
    • Repairing hardware malfunctions, software issues, and networking problems
    • Managing licences and maintenance contracts
    • Maintaining user accounts and access
    • Maintaining good client relations
    • Tracking and managing work records
    • Compiling job procedures and documentations

    Job Requirements

    • Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
    • Relevant Microsoft or networking trade certificates is a plus
    • At least 2 years of work experience as a technical support engineer
    • Knowledge of server and computer hardware with networking systems
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues
    • Ability to think and act critically
    • Good time management and interpersonal skills
    • Possess Class 3 driving licence and able to drive a van
