    JOB DESCRIPTION

    THIS IS A 2-YEARS RENEWABLE / CONVERTIBLE CONTRACT ROLE.

    The Marketing Communication Principal Executive is responsible for supporting the development and execution of communication initiatives, with a focus on media relations and social media, as well as public engagement.

    The candidate will be a key member in the Marketing Communication and Public Engagement team of Defence Collective Singapore (DCS); as a brand custodian of Singapore Discovery Centre, Singapore Navy Museum and upcoming brands to be subsumed under the DCS umbrella.

    Responsibilities:

    • This role will work closely with the Assistant Director to drive media and influencer engagement and manage social media platforms with engaging content.
    • Media Relations
    • formulate and execute communication strategies and plans in support of DCS' communication objectives: to strengthen brand/public image and the alignment to organisational mission of championing the Singapore and defence story.
    • Build and maintain good relations with the media from both traditional and social media platforms and manage the preparation of media materials.
    • Social Media - Strategise data-driven communication, manage social media channels for the brands under DCS. That includes content creation, follower engagement and data analytics to measure effectiveness.
    • Build and execute social media strategies, generate and publish daily content, optimise DCS brand pages on various platforms, moderate user-generated content and analyse social data.
    • Public Programming - To develop engaging and impactful public programmes for young families/youth.
    • Stay up-to-date on the latest trends in digital marketing and social media.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communication, or a related field.
    • Min 3-5 years of experience in marketing communication, with a focus on media relations and social media.
    • Good command of the English language. Proficiency in a second language will be an added advantage.
    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, and competent in editing photographs and short-form videos.
    • Excellent writing and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent organisational and time management skills; meeting tight deadlines and work under pressure.
    • Great attention to details; with a flair for aesthetics.
    • Adequate knowledge on Adobe Creative Cloud software.
    • Competent with a strong marketing acumen, result oriented and loves to create content for social media.
