About the Opportunity:

As a Community Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for the Community and act as the "face" of Speech Concept You will report to your centre each day to lead and support the team to achieve the following:

  • Build a welcoming and collaborative community environment through events and building relationships
  • Ensure that your centre is fully operational and processes are running efficiently.
  • Drive growth and promotion of Speech Conceptprovided service offerings.
  • Create directives, lead and support the team as necessary.
All of this while illustrating Speech Concept's core values and working towards achieving our mission.


In this role, you'll:


Front Desk Management:

(Being present and contributing to a positive learning environment)

  • Cover the front desk during the centre's set business hours1 and be an onsite point of contact.
  • Learn the names of students and parents with the goal of building relationships in order to facilitate the sense of community.
  • Anticipate students and parents needs before they arise using relevant information collected about members to enhance and personalise their experience.
  • Keep the front desk clean and organised.
  • Answer any questions from students, parents, new clients and the extended team.
  • Organise and follow up on any enquiries in relation to your community.
  • Represent our brands and programmes.
  • Investigate, escalate, and resolve service recoveries.

Centre Operations Management:

(Maintain operational excellence)

  • Ensure administrative processes and SOPs are observed and completed which includes following up with our Leads and Enrolment pipelines.
  • Receive, process, sort, and organise all messages and mail.
  • Ensure centrespecific operational requirements are met for each programme (logistics, materials)
  • Maintain an efficient Customer relation management system for students and parents.
  • Learn and explain Speech Concept policies and procedures and communicate, inform, and update students and parents.
  • Maintain the community database as the primary registrar.
  • Write and send broadcasts relating to centre updates.
  • Always be focused on operational efficiency and be adaptive to new technology.

Student and Community Engagement:

(Generating engagement and genuine interest in our centre and programmes)

  • Consistently celebrate students' successes and milestones through gifts and notes.
  • Distribute all necessary info to promote programmes including creation and posting of weekly events poster and individual event posters.
  • Provide feedback on programming types (based on student makeup) and evaluate events based on attendance, satisfaction, and impact on the team.
  • Play a creative and executive role in event planning and execution with community stakeholders.
  • Identify and execute opportunities to connect students with the right programme offerings.
  • Learn and understand the in and outs of the local education system (e.g., DSA, GEP, PSLE, O-Levels and N-Levels, Special Needs Assistance, Preschool) which are knowledge required when conversing with parents.
  • Keep the team updated on opportunities for students in your community (e.g. performance, competition opportunities).

Sales and Marketing:


  • Ideate, plan, lead and excecute sales and marketing projects.
  • Be sales driven and create new pipelines and channels to procure new leads.
  • Stay razor focused on lead generation, conversation, retention and sales.

About You:

  • Have a minimum of a Degree (Masters) education.
  • Customer service, sales and management experience.
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and multitasking skills.
  • Demonstrate integrity, dependability, responsibility, accountability, selfawareness, work ethic, and compassion.
  • Passion for entrepreneurial communities and education.
  • Be selfsufficient and solutionfocused and be able to act quickly in the interest of our brand and customers.
  • Proficient in basic computer skills.
