We are looking for a dynamic individual to join the Corporate Treasury. Corporate Treasury is a dedicated strategic management unit, within the CFO office.

We ensure that capital and liquidity is allocated optimally across the Bank, hence enabling businesses, and promoting financial resilience through economic cycles.


You will assess the impact of the external macroeconomic environment on the Bank and analyse data to recommend strategies to maximise balance sheet profitability.

You will interact with key stakeholders across the Bank, including senior management. You will have the opportunities to develop new initiatives and participate in cross functional projects.

This position is ideal for collaborative individuals who have strong ethics, attention to detail and can think strategically across disciplines.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Evaluate the impact of the external environment on the bank's balance sheet by monitoring macro, industry, and regulatory developments.
  • Contribute to macroeconomic outlook and insights to help steer balance sheet direction and strategies.
  • Oversight over Group Corporate Treasury policies, procedures, and process to ensure efficient and effective execution of balance sheet strategies
  • Ensure that implemented procedures and processes are in line with Group Corporate Treasury's operating mandate and adherence to risk appetite
  • Ensure that best practices are disseminated and adopted across Corporate Treasuries across the Group.
  • Partner stakeholders to drive operational excellence to enhance Corporate Treasuries' productivity by ensuring relevant reports are available in a timely manner
  • Review control processes to ensure that they are updated and relevant.
  • Update and implement Corporate Treasury's contingent operational processes.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to key stakeholders, such as the Group's Asset and Liability Committee.
You will report to the Head of Balance Sheet Management, Corporate Treasury.


Qualifications
years of relevant experience.

  • Passion for bank asset and liability management.
  • Deep appreciation of macroeconomics and financial markets; Market facing experience would be a plus.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards of liquidity and interestrate risk.
  • Prior experience in strategy formulation and financial analysis.
  • Ability to understand and solve complex problems using clear, concise and simplified concepts.
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills, comfortable with handling big data sets.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Works well in teams.
