The Singapore Public Affairs and Policy team drives strategies, prioritizes partnerships and orchestrates Grab's engagements in support of matters related to public policy and Singapore's national agenda.
It also supports Grab Singapore's interactions with the Singapore government, community stakeholders and the public policy community, and partners with Grab teams to address emerging regulatory and political risks related to Grab's businesses and services.
Specific areas of focus include:
Government Partnerships strategy for SingaporeIn-house policy development with regional teams on matters related to data, gig economy and anti-trust, and product policies that serve a public interest angleRegulatory consultations for Grab's businesses, which span transport, deliveries, and financial servicesEngagements with the wider public policy communityDistilling and clarifying complex public policy issues for internal and external audiencesGet to know the Role:Grab's Public Affairs & Policy Department is looking to hire a Public Affairs & Policy Assistant Manager, to support public affairs work in Singapore.
The day-to-day activities:Support strategy implementation for Grab's public affairs - Work with the local country business and corporate support teams to provide analysis, assessments, and develop action plans on emerging regulatory and public policy issues and to advance Grab's social mission.
Build and manage strategic government relations and partnerships - Establish key partnerships with relevant government stakeholders, serve as Grab's liaison with government stakeholders and represent Grab as needed at key government meetings and events.
Collaborate with internal teams to plan, launch, execute and/or evaluate key public affairs initiatives and/or campaigns.Qualifications
At least 5 years of experience in public and/or government affairs in Singapore in either public policy, regulatory, strategic advisory, and planning and partnership/project management roles.
Passionate about making a positive impact in the community and/or on public policy issues.
A strong self-starter and proactive attitude, with a resourceful and flexible approach to problem-solving.
Comfortable working under pressure and be adaptable to a fast-paced and changing environment.
Highly values teamwork and with a "your problem is my problem" attitude.
