About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Financial Controller with a strong focus on Group financial reporting, tax and treasury management as well as compliance to join our dynamic team.

Reporting to Group CFO, this role will partner with Country Finance Heads and contributes to the Group finance improvement initiatives by collaborating with a range of stakeholders and lending expertise and high energy to drive outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for group consolidation and preparation of consolidated financial statements in accordance with the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
• Ensure all accounting activities comply with group accounting policies and IFRS. Advise subsidiaries on accounting treatments and organize regular group-wide trainings on accounting technical topics.
• Develop policies and guidelines and ensure good internal controls and corporate governance are in existence and in alignment with the financial regulations, accounting standards, statutory requirements, and with the Company's various policies.
• Assume key role on the implementation of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to automate processes within the finance function, including but not limited to the review of process mapping, master data governance, and user acceptance testing.
• You will supervise monthly financials, review group statutory accounts, provide comprehensive reviews of balance sheet and cash flow, identify variances to forecast and budgets and promptly drive appropriate actions to achieve financial objectives.
• Coordinate and liaise with various stakeholders including tax agents, auditors, company secretary, bankers, lawyers etc, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirement and delivery on commitments.
• Responsible for Country-by-Country Reporting (CbCR)
• Prepare Group board papers for audit committees and board meeting
• Lead and support ad-hoc projects as may be assigned from time to time including and not limited to ERP implementation, Group transfer pricing study.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accountancy / ACCA
• 10+ years of related experience with more than 5 years of solid regional Controllership experience in the manufacturing sector
• Highly preferred, candidate with
  • Prior Big 4/ Audit background,
  • SAP / Oracle and ERP implementation experience
  • Manufacturing cost accounting,
  • IPO listing experience
• Strong finance leadership experience, ability to work with finance teams across Asia.
• Hands-on, highly driven, resilient, resourceful, able to introduce framework and drive streamlining, agile, keen to drive changes and positive improvements.
• Travel requirement: 20% ~ 30% to India, China and SEA region.
• Ideally with 2 months' notice or less
