The Role

An opportunity has arisen to join the Special Product Analysts (SPA) team in Singapore as an Underwriter, with development to a Senior Underwriter. The position will be based in Singapore.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the underwriting of both single and multi-buyer transactions, with key focus on the transaction structure, and credit risk analysis.

Qualifications

• Ability to analyse financial statements is essential
• Previous risk underwriting experience preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• An interest in worldwide current affairs
• Good understanding of political risk
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently under pressure with strong self-initiative

Role Profile

The ability to focus on service to customers is a key requirement, and the successful candidate will be able to clearly demonstrate a positive attitude and proactive approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to the role, including the ability to discuss complex risk issues confidently. The successful candidate will be able to assimilate information and process workflow quickly and arrive at decisions promptly without detriment to quality.

An ability to work within a team environment is essential, the successful candidate should also be confident to work independently.

Candidate must be a fluent English speaker; an additional language would be of benefit.

The position will be hybrid and involve some travel occasionally.
