Duties

:

The Program Specialist (SAPR) will be responsible for a wide range of administrative, programmatic, and analytical support activities.

The Program Specialist will be a key player in the development, coordination, monitoring and tracking of special projects created by the SAPR Program's multidisciplinary team.


Major Duties

:


  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with the SAPR Program's implementing offices, key program stakeholders, postlevel staff and agency leadership to coordinate on program activities.
  • Works closely with the SAPR Team and SAPR Working Groups to streamline program related communications, compile stakeholder feedback and circulate program resources, reports, memorandums, and updates.
  • Works closely with identified SMEs to coordinate inperson and virtual engagements, and to regularly ensure that SMEs are provided with all Peace Corps and SAPRrelated informational materials necessary to execute their official responsibilities. Maintains a tracking system for all follow up items from meetings and institutional recommendations.
  • As assigned by the SAPR Director, represents OSAPR and the SAPR Program in the development and execution of agencywide special projects and program efforts.
  • As assigned, participates in special projects and activities. Uses standard approaches to perform a variety of duties related to special projects involving administrative or program issues. Conducts extensive research and compilation of data from diverse sources. Extracts and assembles information, conducts analysis, and develops reports or presentations.

  • You must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • You must be at least 18 years of age.
  • All Federal employees are required to have federal salary payments made by direct deposit to a financial institution of their choosing.
  • You must complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
  • You must go through a Personal Identity Verification (PIV) process that requires two forms of identification from the Form I9. Federal law requires verification of the identity and employment eligibility of all new hires in the U.S. These documents must be unexpired originalor certified copies

  • You must successfully complete a background security investigation with favorable adjudication. Failure to successfully meet this requirement will be grounds for employment termination.
  • Prior to employment, and in compliance with statutes 5 USC 3322 and 22 USC 2507b, Peace Corps will conduct a check of Peace Corps records for both Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and former Peace Corps employees.
  • All new employees are required to certify and submit a state of understanding acknowledging adherence to the Peace Corps condition of employment prior to day 1 of employment with the Peace Corps.
  • This position requires a Public Trust background investigation.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • A oneyear trial period is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

This vacancy is being announced at two grade levels:

  • OR
  • 2 full years of progressively higherlevel graduate education leading to such a degree OR L.L.B. or J.D., if related.
  • OR
  • A combination of education and experience.

  • Peace Corps employees are employed using the Foreign Personnel (FP) pay scale. The FP pay plan does not follow the same structure as the GS pay plan. In the FP pay plan, as the gradelevel numbers decrease the level/pay for the position increases. The FP09 is the lowest entrylevel grade and the FP01 is the highest seniorlevel grade.
