- Creating and updating the wine list in coordination with chefs and the Food and Beverage Manager/Sales Manager
- Recommending food and wine pairings
- Advising guests on wines based on their personal tastes and food choices
- Create and update the wine list.
- Inform guests about different varieties of wines and prices
- Ensure wines are served at the right temperature and within the proper glassware
- Store open bottles properly to maintain the strong taste
- Manage wine cellar and ensure it's fully-stocked
- Train wait staff on available wines
- Organize wine tasting days or "wine of the month" events, wine dinners /promoting sales
- Comply with all health and safety regulations
- International wine knowledge and relevant certification
- Minimum 3 years of wine sales experience in the Singapore Market
- WSET Level 3/4 preferred
- Training/Teaching experience in the restaurant trade
- Sommelier experience in well-respected establishments
- Excellent administrative and communication skills
- WSET accreditation and any equivalent wine/spirit/sake accreditation.
- Certified specialist of wine is preferable.
