    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    To support and lead project financing for the Group's greenfield projects and brownfield M&A transactions across all sectors and markets which the Group invests in, including power, utilities, renewables, energy, and urban infrastructure in Asia, Middle East, and globally. The position will sit within the Group Investment Management function which reports to the Group CFO, and will play an important role in the Group's energy transition and transformation agenda.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • Lead and drive the financing of the Group's greenfield projects and brownfield / M&A investments, in co-ordination with cross-functional and cross-border project teams, as well as external advisors and vendors where necessary.
    • End-to-end project execution, including evaluation of project risks, bankability and returns, deal structuring, preparation of investment proposals for senior management approvals, debt market engagement, due diligence, negotiation and documentation, and financial close.
    • Develop and manage relationships with debt market players, including commercial lenders, multilaterals and Export Credit Agencies, legal firms, and other advisors and consultants.
    • Perform functional reviews of new projects, formulate independent views of key assumptions, risk drivers, and stress-test financial models to assess robustness of bankability and returns.
    • Supervise, mentor, and develop the competency of junior team members to strengthen the Group's in-house project financing, deal structuring and financial modelling capabilities.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline.
    • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in project finance / advisory / M&A / infrastructure, with at least 5 years' experience in leading the execution of project financing transactions.

    Skills, Competencies and Preferred Characteristics

    • Strong technical skills and competency in project finance, including financial modelling and VBA macros, deal structuring, familiarity with lenders' credit processes and requirements, due diligence, negotiation and documentation.
    • Analytical, highly numerate, detail-oriented, hands-on approach with strong problem solving and project management skills.
    • Team player with strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to manage internal and external stakeholders, as well as co-ordinate across various functional and regional teams.
    • Candidates with relevant sector and regional experience, particularly in power, utilities, renewables, and energy with a focus on Asia and the Middle East will be preferred.
