    Position Summary:

    The primary function of a material handler is to assist on the timely execution of various day-to-day activities in relation to warehouse operations.

    All responsibilities would be covered with on-the job training and would be required to be performed in compliance to Illumina established procedures.

    Position Responsibilities:

    Receiving Functions (General):

  • To verify and receive inbound shipments.
  • To adhere on requirements and perform material/documentation inspection.
  • To assist on the system issue and closure of internal requisition requests.
  • To collect scrap and quarantined materials from requestors.
  • To ensure proper handling of materials/products and the integrity of data capture into ERP system.
  • KPI measurement of role is to ensure 1 day TAT is met.
  • To assist and perform not only primary but secondary functions as well when required.
  • Additional training would be provided for all in-house systems.
  • Picking and Topping up Functions (General):

  • To perform picking for work orders.
  • To perform topping up per Kanban requirements.
  • To coordinate and work hand in hand with Planners/Manufacturing.
  • To ensure proper handling of materials/products and the integrity of data capture into ERP system.
  • KPI measurement of role is to ensure that there is no line down situation.
  • To assist and perform not only primary but secondary functions as well when required.
  • Additional training would be provided for all in-house systems.
  • Cycle Count Functions (General):

  • To perform cycle counts as scheduled.
  • To perform reconciliation of count discrepancies.
  • To coordinate counts and work hand in hand with Inventory Control.
  • To assist on the system issue and closure of external requisition requests.
  • To collect scrap and quarantined materials from requestors.
  • To ensure proper handling of materials/products and the integrity of data capture into ERP system.
  • To maintain the KPI measurement of 0 past aging.
  • To assist and perform not only primary but secondary functions as well when required.
  • Additional training would be provided for all in-house systems.
  • Shipping Functions (General):

  • To verify and collect of completed work orders from manufacturing.
  • To verify and perform pick/pack operations.
  • To coordinate work with Logistics and to ensure committed volumes are released to forwarders on time.
  • To ensure proper handling of materials/products and the integrity of data capture ERP system.
  • To meet KPI measurement on OTC.
  • To assist and perform not only primary but secondary functions as well when required.
  • Additional training would be provided for all in-house systems.

    Position Requirements:

  • With at least a year of warehouse experience preferably in a scientific or chemistry-based manufacturing environment.
  • Working computer literacy using ERP systems, Microsoft spreadsheet and word processing software, storekeeping and inventory control procedures are required.
  • Preferably to be familiar with GMP's, product specifications incoming inspection procedures.
  • Basic verbal and written communication, analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interface well with cross-functional teammates.
  • Preferred Experience/Education/Skills:

  • Secondary school education with or without N/O levels, NITEC or equivalent.
