Responsibilities


To work within the department of Community Engagement and Development to assist in the planning, developing, coordinating and implementation of a range of community/social initiatives, especially for the people who live within the Jurong and Boon Lay areas.

This position includes working collaboratively with key agencies and developing sustainable partnerships.

The position also requires working with all the sub-units within the Corporate Services Department, Islamic Learning Department, as well as external stakeholders.


  • Assist to develop, plan and review mosque's community engagement strategies.
  • Coordinate activities with mosque stakeholders, government agencies, MMOs, and other partner organisations.
  • Assist to identify demographics of neighbourhood residents and gather their feedback.
  • Assist to represent the mosque when engaging with stakeholders and community groups.

Secondary Duties

  • Assist MarComm Unit for Friday Special
  • Prepare Khutbah & Hebahan slides
  • FB Live screening
  • Setup AV/IT
  • Assist MarComm Unit for Mosque Special
  • FB Live screening
during special events (Syarahan Bulanan, etc.)

  • Setup AV/IT
  • Photography and videography
  • Special Projects Committee (includes but not limited to)
  • Engagement of partners, and networking for special projects (Ramadan, Maarof Family Day, etc.).
  • Any other miscellaneous tasks assigned by the HOD.

Requirements:


  • Minimum Diploma, preferably in Social Services.
  • Minimum 2 years of related working experience.
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills.
  • Enjoy working with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Positive attitude and cheerful personality.
  • Knowledge in basic poster designing (i.e. Canva, Photoshop) is advantegeous.
