    Description
    Roles & Responsibilities

    Responsibilities:

    · Implement tools, systems and databases for the front office trading desks covering electricity, gas, oil and other global energy markets using Python, C#, SQL and non-SQL databases.

    · Contribute to the development of the power generation stack model for the management trading desk. Build new features, improve the model architecture and provide support to the head power analyst when debugging issues.

    · Develop and test systematic trading strategies for the cross-commodity desk.

    · Contribute to general software development and architecture projects to help build out the company trading and models infrastructure.

    · Build tools and data analytics for the weather forecasting team which supports all trading desks. Assist the weather team by providing guidance on software development practices.

    · Research, model, implement, and back-test mathematical relationships within market structure.

    · Assist in the incorporation of optimized quantitative trading models within the trading engine.

    Experience/Skills

    · Good numerical & system skills

    · Strong organizational ability, with a keenness to learn.

    · Good communication Skills.

    · Team player.

    · Attention to detail and focus on the accuracy of work and procedures.

    · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

    Educational Qualifications

    · Advanced degree such as Master of Science (MSc Degree) in a relevant subject such as Finance, Econometrics, Statistics or Engineering.
