Description
Assist the teacher in identifying the needs of students.

  • Assist the teacher in planning, preparing, and executing appropriate lessons, utilizing appropriate resource materials and activities.
  • Assist the teacher to maintain student records as required by the school.
  • Help the teacher to assess students and provide the teacher with information on the student's progress.
  • Assist the teacher in providing a variety of instructional aides, methods, and materials that will provide for creative teaching to reach the whole child, as stated in the ICS mission statement.
  • Supervise extracurricular activities, organizations, and outings as assigned.
  • Able to assist Substitute Teacher in taking the lead for Instructional activities
  • Do supervisory duty as assigned (before school, break, lunch, after school).
  • Facilitate the maintenance of the classroom in a clean and educationally stimulating environment.
  • Submit all reports to the teacher that may be requested.

REQUIREMENTS:


  • A minimum of a highschool diploma or equivalent though some collegelevel work is preferred.
  • Successful experience working with children.
  • Basic knowledge of pedagogy.
  • Basic knowledge of the American system of education.
  • Acceptable skills in speaking English.
