Position Qualifications
an educational institution or non-profit in a major gift officer role and who has played a

significant role in enabling the successful delivery of an institution's capital campaign.

Ten or more years of experience in major gifts and campaign management
Demonstrated evidence of his or her ability to raise major gifts
Exceptional relationship builder
Strong project management skills
Experience at an institution known for best practices and its track record for attracting voluntary support
Familiarity and comfort with Asia and the Asian philanthropic community

Bilingualism in Mandarin Chinese is a plus

Ability to think strategically and approach challenges with a positive and innovative perspective

Specific Responsibilities

Establishing a strong presence with our key donors and prospects
Forming deep and effective working relationships with the CAO, Foundation Board members, and fellow administrators
Lead the planning of a formal campaign feasibility study and develop a campaign operating plan for a campaign with a likely target of $50 million
Devise and implement a comprehensive major gift strategy for your portfolio focusing on gifts in the $50,000 $500,000 range.
In collaboration with the Development Manager work to upgrade annual gift donors to major gift donors.
Enhancing a major gift mindset utilizing Board and Foundation members as cultivators/solicitors and predicated on good data, research, and targeting

Key Responsibilities of the next Director of Development and Campaign Manager
The Director of Development and Campaign Manager will assume the following key responsibilities:

Together with an external consultancy conduct a comprehensive campaign feasibility study
Develop a campaign operating plan
To help identify, recruit, and train key volunteers to support the capital campaign
To develop and maintain a portfolio of major gifts donors and prospects both in support of the annual and capital campaign cultivate and solicit major gifts
Contribute to the strategic direction of fundraising efforts and serve as a "thought partner" and sounding board to the CAO
Represent the Advancement Office and SAS both within and outside of the School community
Enhance efforts in prospect research, major gifts, and stewardship
Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by the CAO
