    Finance Department

    Finance Department (FD) is responsible for financial management of the GIC group. We ensure financial stewardship and reporting for the GIC group, and act as Finance Business Partners to optimize corporate financial planning and the use of operating budgets for growth and sustainability. We harness data and technology to create insights for financial decision-making and achieve excellence in financial operations.

    What impact can you make in this role?

    We are looking for a suitable candidate to join the Finance Department as the Transformation Lead, supporting finance to plan, execute and evolve the long-term system and technology road map. Reporting to the Head of Finance, the candidate responsibility includes working closely with members from the finance department and IT support team to identify and leverage system and technology to enhance finance operations and strengthen processes and controls. The ideal candidate is well-versed in financial systems and technology with proven track record to lead successful implementation.

    What will you do as VP, Finance Transformation Lead?

    • Focal point of contact for finance department on all new/existing systems, data, technology and tools implementation and enhancement needs.
    • Work closely with members of the finance department to understand and document business requirements of new projects, review existing documentation of finance requirements to assess accuracy and appropriateness.
    • Required to bridge finance users' requirements with IT support team by clarifying finance functional specifications, and work with IT to explore new or existing systems, technology and tools to address finance needs.
    • Gather, document and analyze finance 'as-in' processes to identify functionality gaps in system and business processes. Engage finance users and IT to design and develop 'to-be' system and processes to close the gaps.
    • Partner IT support team to formulate project implementation and/or migration plans across functional areas, including requirement gathering, testing and implementation. Guide and support finance users to execute on the testing plan and administer finance completion of the implementation on a timely basis.
    • Manage deliverables with finance users and IT by developing key project milestones, timelines, assignment of ownership and providing timely progress reports to the finance leadership team.
    • Continuously assess the efficiency and effectiveness of existing finance systems and tools and contribute to process re-engineering and process improvement where applicable.
    • What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?

    • Degree in Accounting and Finance with at least 12-15 years of proven track record in supporting and leading finance systems and technology implementation.
    • Candidates with professional project management accreditation preferred.
    • Possess commercial accounting and finance experience and are well-versed in finance operations, reporting, process and controls.
    • Strong stakeholders' engagement as the role involves partnering and working closely with finance and IT stakeholders across different levels.
    • Proactively seeks opportunities to streamline business processes by leveraging system and technology solutions to improve finance operation efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Strong communicator and highly skilled in user training and documentation.
    • Work collaboratively and deliver timely results in a dynamic working environment.
    • Excellent knowledge of financial systems and experience working with a variety of system support activities.
