Description

The Business Analyst works closely with stakeholders to identify and analyse business requirements to implement data mart solutions for the Group Risk Management team for management reporting on the key risk indicator metrics.

• Work closely with business users to gather, translate and document user and data requirements in BRD
• Provide inputs on source data extraction criteria
• Create Excel macros to execute data validation on Excel data sources
• Provide rules for standardization across multiple data sources
• Write and execute SIT test cases and test scripts.
• Provide support for UAT and PROD implementation
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
• Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
• At least 5 years' experience in a business analyst/developer role involved in Data Warehouse projects, ideally for an Insurance company.
• Experience in Excel macros and MySQL scripting
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work in a high performing team environment.
• Preferably have domain knowledge on risk management.
• High level of integrity, takes accountability of work and good attitude over teamwork.
• Takes initiative to improve current state of things and adaptable to embrace new changes.
