    Job Description

    The Dementia Research Centre (Singapore) [DRCS], an establishment of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine (LKCMedicine) was set up to pioneer cutting-edge research initiatives, to enhance understanding of cognitive impairment and dementia spectrum disorders, clinically. DRCS is a multi-study research centre focusing on the pathobiology of Asian Dementia and models of care for cognitive disorders. DRCS is helmed by Associate Professor Nagaendran Kandiah, an internationally renowned clinician scientist in the field of dementia.

    Position Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Research Fellow with a Ph.D. in Neuropsychology or Psychology to contribute to our center's ongoing research initiatives. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in conducting critical research, employing neuropsychological testing, psychometrics, test validation, digitalization of tests, statistical analyses, and intervention strategies.

    Responsibilities:

    • Design and conduct neuropsychological assessments for research purposes.
    • Develop and validate psychometric tests (pen and paper, digital) relevant to dementia research.
    • Perform advanced statistical analyses with large data sets.
    • Design research and conduct analyses to identify brain-behaviour relationships, developing new assessment tools, to contribute to advancements in neuroscience.
    • Develop and execute interventional studies, encompassing both digital and traditional methods.
    • Publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences.

    Requirements:

    • A Ph.D. in Neuropsychology, Psychology, or a closely related field.
    • Proven experience in neuropsychological testing, psychometrics, and test validation.
    • Strong statistical analysis skills, including expertise in relevant software.
    • Background in intervention work/studies highly appreciated.
    • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
    • Strong publication record or potential to publish in reputable journals.
    • Clinical experience highly valued.
    • Superior proficiency in both written and verbal English.
    • Proficiency in second languages and dialects highly regarded.
