Learning Centre Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Curriculum Development and Implementation:


  • Ensure the curriculum is uptodate, engaging, and aligns with Singapore's educational standards and requirements.

Staff Management and Training:


  • Recruit, train, and manage a team of educators and support staff.
  • Provide ongoing professional development opportunities focused on holistic teaching approaches.

Student Development and Support:


  • Develop strategies to monitor and support the academic and personal growth of teenagers.
  • Implement individualized learning plans to cater to diverse learning needs and styles.

Parental Engagement:


  • Foster strong relationships with parents/guardians through regular communication and involvement in the learning process.
  • Organize workshops and seminars for parents on holistic education and child development.

Centre Administration and Operations:


  • Oversee the daytoday operations of the learning centre, including scheduling, resource allocation, and facility management.
  • Ensure compliance with educational regulations and standards.

Community Outreach and Collaboration:


  • Establish partnerships with local organizations and educational institutions to enhance learning opportunities.
  • Engage in community activities that promote holistic education and wellbeing.

Evaluation and Improvement:


  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of the learning programs and make datadriven improvements.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in holistic education.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education preferrable NIEtrained.
  • Prior experience in educational management or a leadership role in a learning centre.
  • Strong understanding of the Singaporean education system and holistic education principles.
  • At least 5 years teaching experience in MOE secondary school and have left MOE within the last 5 years.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement innovative learning programs.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills.
  • Passion for working with teenagers and a commitment to fostering their holistic development.

Additional Information:


  • This role may require working outside of standard office hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the centre and its students.
  • The Learning Centre Manager will play a crucial role in shaping the educational experience of teenagers, balancing academic rigor with the development of critical life skills in a supportive and nurturing environment.
